CE#259: This Robot Would Beat You in Karaoke

Japan’s latest gift to the world is a new version of the pop-singing Gaga-wannabe robot called the HRP-4C, which debuted at CEATAC Japan and probably didn’t surprise very many people there. Underneath her uncanny verisimilitude are a pair of software applications that give her synthesized voice a human feel (complete with human-like breaths) and human-like facial expressions based on an actual singer’s face.

The good news is, this could make Justin Bieber obsolete just a little sooner.
